Primary Capacity Markets - 5th February 2008: IP meetings
The Gas Regional Initiative (GRI) North-West organise on the 5th February 2008 two meetings to improve the overall fuctioning of primary capacity markets at the Interconection Points (IP) of Obergailbach / Medelsheim and Blaregnies / Taisnières.
These meetings will be based on the results of the public consultation launched on 5 December 2007 (see syntheses of the questionnaires hereunder).
To participate to these two IP meetings, please register by Alexandre Soroko (alexandre.soroko@cre.fr).
The Gas Regional Initiative (GRI) North-West has launched on 5 December 2007 a public consultation addressed to shippers on how to improve the overall fuctioning of primary capacity markets at the Interconection Points (IP) of Obergailbach / Medelsheim and Blaregnies / Taisnières.
Dear Market participants in the region North-West,
It is clear that a key factor in the success of the regional initiative will be ensuring that stakeholders (and market operators, where appropriate) bring forward proposals for change and that these are properly evaluated and responded to and, where appropriate, developed for implementation - indeed this has been the area where we have yet to see stakeholders properly engaging in the regional initiative.
As regulators, we would like to further facilitate that kind of process - providing a platform for those with ideas to bring them forward - as we have seen with the day-ahead auctions proposal. To that end, we have given some thought on the design of a process that hopefully will encourage stakeholders to come forward with good ideas - as set out in the attached flow chart and short note.
The aim is to stimulate more input from stakeholders and to secure a maximum of success with a minimum of work (no unnecessary discussions because of a well-designed template on the website leading easily into a project plan).
Please react to Dte on the proposal and the way forward.
